Fire & Security Service Engineer
Location: Rochdale (covering Greater Manchester)
Salary: £37,500 per annum

Our client, a well-established electrical contractor based in Rochdale, is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and conscientious engineer looking to work for a company where they are valued as an individual rather than just another number.

 

Fire & Security Service Engineer Role

You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and small works across a range of fire and security systems, with the majority of work located across Greater Manchester.

The role also includes participation in the on-call rota (currently 1 week in 4) with additional standby and call-out payments.

 

Fire & Security Service Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire and security systems
  • Service, diagnose faults, and repair fire alarms and security systems
  • Complete minor installations and remedial works where required
  • Ensure work is completed to industry standards and company procedures
  • Provide a professional and reliable service to clients while on site

 

Fire & Security Service Engineer Systems Experience

Experience with some of the following systems would be advantageous:

Protec, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Galaxy, Texecom, Orisec, PAC, Paxton, Videx, ConceptPro, HikVision.

 

Fire & Security Service Engineer Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ checkable experience within the fire and security industry
  • Relevant industry qualifications appropriate to the role
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

Package

  • £37,500 basic salary
  • 20 days annual leave plus public holidays
  • On-call rota (1 in 4) with standby and call-out payments
  • Company van, phone, laptop, specialist tools and equipment provided
  • Work primarily across Greater Manchester
