On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join a growing team in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals with a background in Social Housing to take on a key role ensuring effective communication between tenants, residents, and housing authorities during ongoing works.

We are recruiting for a Resident Liaison Officer in  Oldham, offering a great chance to work in a supportive and dynamic environment within the Social Housing sector.

As a Resident Liaison Officer, your duties will include:

  • Liaising with residents to keep them informed about ongoing property works
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with housing associations and other key stakeholders
  • Chairing tenant forum meetings to update residents on project progress
  • Resolving customer complaints and addressing any concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Regularly monitoring customer satisfaction and addressing issues proactively
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards during works

You will play a vital role in ensuring that the residents’ experience is positive, and that all communications are clear, helpful, and professional.

To be considered for this Resident Liaison Officer role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a Resident Liaison Officer or Tenant Liaison Officer role within Social Housing
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A full, clean driving licence (required for travel between sites)
  • A professional, polite, and courteous attitude at all times

Desirable Resident Liaison Officer Skills:

  • Experience working with leaseholders and residents whose properties are undergoing works
  • Familiarity with tenant satisfaction surveys and customer feedback systems
  • Previous experience in social housing or a similar field is highly advantageous
