What You’ll Do:
As a Fitter Team Leader, you’ll have the responsibility to oversee and supervise small works projects from start to finish. This includes managing teams of site engineers and subcontractors, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your key duties will include:
- Leading your team to complete mechanical and civils works, ensuring tasks are completed safely and on time
- Managing health & safety on site: conducting risk assessments, hazard briefings, and ensuring full compliance with company procedures
- Completing all necessary paperwork accurately, including electronic and hard copy reports, quality control plans, and site checklists
- Organising and prioritising daily tasks, briefing staff and visitors on hazards and scope of work
- Controlling site environment, equipment, and materials, ensuring clean and tidy workspaces
- Handling deliveries, verifying goods, and managing storage to prevent damage or loss
- Coordinating permits to work and ensuring proper lock-off/isolation procedures are followed
- Communicating progress daily to management and liaising with clients and site managers
- Maintaining professional standards, representing the company with integrity and pride

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven high-level mechanical and/or civils experience, supported by relevant qualifications
- Substantial experience in a similar environment with demonstrated first-line management skills
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with a solid work ethic
- Confident decision-maker, able to halt work if safety concerns arise
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
