Skilled Furniture Upholsterer
Location: Rochdale
Salary: £14 - £15 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
About the Role:
Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Rochdale, is seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Upholsterer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to secure a temporary-to-permanent position within a well-established firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sewing of upholstery fabrics, including leather, for a variety of seating options such as chairs, stools, sofas, and benches
- Marking and cutting out pre-formed patterns
- Performing deep buttoning and other specialist upholstery techniques
- Maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a skilled upholsterer is essential
- Strong attention to detail, excellent practical skills, and the ability to work independently
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and initiative
