On behalf of our large manufacturing client in the Yorkshire area, we are looking to recruit an experienced maintenance team leader.

Rate of pay is £13.20 per hour and the hours will be Monday- Friday days.

Main purpose of the job,

  •  Plan, Co-ordinate, prioritise and close out all maintenance requirements for the site:

    • Machines: Robotics, CNC Machining, Semi-automated welding

    • Key plant: Cranes, fixtures, weld sets etc.

    • Facility improvements, upgrades

  • Provide detailed maintenance reports of breakdowns, identifying root cause, corrective action and preventative maintenance to improve machine performance

  • Expediting anything required to ensure plant and equipment is available to production as quickly as possible

  • Provide input into the selection of new machines, processes and factory improvements

 

The main tasks of the job would be,

 

  • Co-ordinate maintenance schedules and servicing with sub-contractors/ Service Engineers

  • Expedite with the team maintenance requirements for breakdowns of machines and equipment, liaising with and organising external contractors

  • Prioritise tasks for the team, setting daily targets and managing scheduled TPM routines

  • Review and audit TPM routines, providing feedback to Production Management to influence improvements

  • Co-ordinate planned maintenance with Production to minimise disruption to output targets

  • Ensure planned cover is available for out of production hours maintenance, facilities improvements

  • Provide training and training documents to support the ongoing requirements OPM

  • Liaise with service and breakdown providers to ensure prompt responses to breakdowns and services carried out within required timescales

  • The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation, this may include training and mentoring colleagues.

 

Experience & qualifications,

  • Previous experience in leading a Maintenance team

  • Minimum HNC in a mechanical or electrical discipline

  • 5 years in a mechanical/electrical maintenance role

  • Experience of working with CNC, automated/ semi-automated machines within a fabrication/welding environment would be desirable
