Our client is a leading manufacturer and installer of steel framed buildings within the agricultural and construction industries. Due to continued growth they are looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing department.

As a Production Manager you will be involved in promoting our clients company. Managing the sales, design, and production of steel framed buildings.
Manage the manufacture of high quality steel products in accordance with the companies CE Mark and non CE Marked products.

Main responsibilities

  •  Work as part of a team under the supervision of the Director.
  •  Lead the manufacturing team
  •  Oversee the manufacturing and quality check process.
  •  Manage the transportation of products.
  •  Manage the sales of steel framed buildings.
  •  Regularly update and record pricing structures.
  •  Act on reported equipment faults to maintain sales, production and transportation.
  •  Order sufficient levels of raw materials.
  •  Conduct quality checks on goods ready for transport.
  •  Liaise with Fabrication Workshop Foreman regarding maintenance of work areas and machinery.
  •  Enforce safe operating practices.
  •  Clear and maintain work areas and file and store documents securely.
  •  Provide updates to the Director on a regular basis.

Monitor and ensure production is completed within the allocated timescale.

  •  The ability to lead and manage the team to work safely, quickly and methodically.
  •  The ability to delegate tasks.
  •  Good practical skills.
  •  Excellent communication skills.
  •  The ability to follow written and verbal instructions, if in any doubt ask.
  •  Excellent telephone skills.
  •  The ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks.
  •  Implement health and safety instructions.
  •  Willing to work flexibly and respond to changes.
  •  Good problem solving skills.
  •  Complete training as required
