Our client is a leading manufacturer and installer of steel frame buildings. Due to significant growth over the last 12 months they are looking for a Welder/Fabricator to join there existing workforce.

As a Welder/Fabricator you will be involved in manufacturing products in accordance with the companies CE Mark and also non CE Marked products.

Main responsibilities

  •  Work as part of a team under the supervision of the Fabrication Workshop Foreman.
  •  Calculate, Measure, grade and feed batches of raw materials into production machinery.
  •  Operate production line equipment, for example overhead cranes, forklift trucks, power tools, welding and fabricating equipment and other equipment as required.
  •  Fabricate components from fabrication drawings.
  •  Assist production process and conduct testing and quality checks in accordance with the Factory Production Control procedures.
  •  Report equipment faults to Fabrication Workshop Foreman.
  •  Finish products, for example applying protective coatings.
  •  Control and store raw materials and consumables in the factory or warehouse.
  •  Package goods ready for transport.
  •  Clear and maintain work areas and machinery.
  •  Operate safe working practices.
