On behalf of our client we are looking for Collection agents to work in a fast paced, contact centre.

You must be friendly, confident and be a good communicator; you will also need good IT skills; however, this is not essential.

The ideal candidate must be:

  • Driven
  • Organised
  • Assertive and
  • Be able to work as part of a team.  

The ideal candidate should also have a good understand of FCA, TCF, OFCOM however this is not essential as full training will be provided. 

The main duties of the role are as follows;

  • Answering inbound and outbound calls from customers
  • Assessing the customer’s financial situation and negotiating the repayments of the debt
  • Ensuring the customers’ needs are met and offering them debt advice by signposting them to various debt advice services.
  • Helping customers with their queries and liaising with the appropriate organisation on their behalf.
  • Spotting customers who potentially have financial difficulties, or may be vulnerable.
  • Building a rapport with the customers to ensure the situation is resolved and payments are made to our client, where appropriate.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Call/contact centre or customer service experience.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE

Desirable qualifications:

  • Debt collection experience
  • Local authority experience
  • A background in financial services.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Talk-typing ability
  • Knowledge of FCA regulations and the data protection act.

Salary: up to £20,000 Per Annum – Dependent upon experience. £23,000 OTE with Commission 

Shifts are on a rotational basis. Week 1 is 8am – 4:30pm, Week 2 is 11am – 7pm. Every second Saturday you will be required to work 9am-2pm, and you will receive a day off in the week for this.
