Duties and responsibilities

Site based hours of work as dictated by site

Trade Counter Responsibilities

To issue stock products
To maintain a professional and courteous approach to our Customers
To source and make available supplier catalogues and product reference material
To assist customers in the selection of goods, advising where applicable alternatives that reduce overall cost

Goods Ordering

To open new customer accounts
To open supplier accounts
To source and price goods for special orders, and to raise purchase orders for same
To liase with the Procurement team at our clients ead Office with respect to additional information regarding products
To expedite all outstanding purchase orders
To be proficient in the use of our clients Web Ordering processes

Goods receipting Stock held Products and Special Orders

To receipt into stock control system all goods delivered
To release all products on back order and deliver to customer
To confirm all customer deliveries to ensure accurate charging

Customer Issues both Stock held Products and Special Products

To ensure that the approved documentation is accurately completed and if necessary, authorised
To input issues into computer system and or assist customers with the use of product scanners.

Customer and Supplier Returns

To initiate and conclude all customer returns in approved manner
To monitor and adhere to procedures regarding return of items to suppliers

Stock Management

To put away all stock deliveries within one working day of receipt of goods
To conduct rotational stock checks
To record stock locations for new products required for the stores
To record all stock adjustments and action as appropriate
To maintain a clean and tidy store

Administration

To maintain a tidy and logical filing process so that historical information can easily be accessed

Communication

To demonstrate effective communication skills both within our clients and Customers organisation

Development

To be able to attend site meetings that concern issues within the store, demonstrating an awareness of the issues at the Customers site
To be able to problem solve in a proactive and forward thinking manner
To identify cost saving measures that will benefit the Customer
To perform Health and Safety on line training

Performance Review

Stores Envoys are required to perform regular reviews of their work activities on our clients Intranet Staff Training Schedule. This review is conducted on line and scores achieved are reviewed to identify level of performance. Additionally routine external audits are conducted by our clients Operations team to ensure that consistent standards are achieved through out our stores facilities.
