Installation Engineer

Location: Working on various locations around the UK and occasionally overseas if required.

Requirements:
We are looking for an honest and committed person to fill this role who has the ability to work on their own or as part of a team, work to high standards and deadlines with good communication skills. You should be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Skilled person with a good experience of mechanical installation and fitting, to install, service and repair primarily Archimedean Screw Pumps and Generators.
The successful applicant will work as part of a small outworking team carrying out site work.

You will need a full UK driving licence.
Familiarity with the following is essential.
Couplings and their alignment.
Heavy installation work, jacks and mobile crane use.
Slinging techniques and banking.
Construction site experience.
Welding.
Steel erection.
V-belt assembly and alignment.
Precision fitting / assembly work.
Role:
We stress this is arduous work by nature of the equipment and its location. Working sometimes in close vicinity to raw sewage or flowing rivers in confined spaces it is a demanding position.

The position would require you to work away for approx 90% of the time staying locally to the job for 5 days a week in most cases. Occasionally you would be required to stay for longer until the job is completed or a suitable break point occurs this may be a period of approx 3 weeks.

For more local contracts it is possible to commute.

All transport is provided from the works to the relative site by the means of a company van.

You will be required to submit a weekly report along with time and expense sheets.

Hours of Work:
Normal hours of work are 40 hours per week.plus overtime

Daily expenses for working away are paid in the following manner
Accommodation and breakfast paid by the company.
Lunch allowance £4.50
Evening allowance (from) £17.50
